When the LAH Transportation Assistant retired, Jim Austin, a LAH volunteer, stepped up to take over the job of coordinating client's requests for rides with volunteers who do transportation. The transition was seamless, and he has some great ideas for improving the process. We look forward to working with Jim for a long time.
Jim started with LAH about two years ago as a volunteer. He started out delivering produce to clients twice a month, then took over the Food Bank delivery program, and now he's in charge of Transportation. We think the clients will enjoy talking with him. As you can see, he loves dogs -- and he can cook!
