SENIOR WRITING PROJECT

Our Senior Writing Project has been intermittingly meeting for 3 years on a weekly basis at the Mountain Avenue Church of Christ. We are having fun while at the same time improving our writing skills.

SENIOR CANTEEN

Our mid-town Senior Canteen has opened at the recreation hall of the Mountain Avenue First Church of Christ. About 15 of our seniors and volunteers gathered on March 15th from 1 to 3pm to socialize and get to know one another. St. Patrick's Day provided the theme for our first event. Cookies, brownies, iced tea and lemonade were enjoyed as we shared laughter and discovered many points of connection among attendees. Vi Conaty, Canteen Director and LAH volunteer, noted that the canteen will host events on the third Thursday of every month. The next event is scheduled for April 19th from 1:30 to 3:30pm at the Church. The goals are to provide a welcoming social venue and to have fun.

Volunteers are needed to provide rides to and from canteen events. Call 248-6882.
